Magnus Renfrew

Before moving to Shanghai, Magnus spent 7 years as an auction house specialist where he held the responsibility
for sourcing consignments internationally. Magnus was instrumental in developing a Contemporary Asian Art
department for Bonhams in London - a project on which he worked for 18 months prior to the highly successful
inaugural sale held in June 2006.

Renfrew holds a First Class MA (Honours) in Art History from the University of St Andrews, achieving the highest
mark ever given for a dissertation at the university and was awarded the O.E. Saunders Prize for Art History. He
has curated numerous exhibitions and written extensively on Contemporary Art. He is also a published author
and an experienced lecturer.
